This will probably become one of those Internet videos that gets played over and over – like when Bill Gates got smacked in the face with a pie.
Ballmer was giving some sort of talk in Hungary when some guy got up, yelled at him, then tried to pelt him with eggs. Gizmodo has the footage.
I have to say, I am not a Ballmer fan in the slightest, but, like with the Gates / pie thing, what happened to him is kind of messed up. I admit I chuckled at it, but can you imagine being in another country, knowing a lot of people hate you, then have a guy yelling at you and unknown objects start to fly at you.
Yikes. I bet for a moment he thought he was going to die – very unpleasant. And I have to give props for the recovery.
From what I gather, the guy was upset about a deal Microsoft had with the school whereby everyone has to pay for MS products, even if they don’t use them (or something to that effect).
I highly doubt this will cause the change egg man was going for.
