I know a few shops that use MS SQL Server and the Express edition for development / to run queries against the main server, and if you are thinking about upgrading to Vista, according to this article (cnnmoney.com - which seems rather spiteful btw) you might want hold off on upgrading.

Tables 1.1 was released today (or yesterday). The main new feature, at least for me, was the export to Excel. Tables 1.0 could open Excel files, but it couldn't save to them.
