For the past year or so, the main project I’ve been working on is [UNSWTV][1]. It’s a system similar to YouTube, but in addition to hosting videos it can also publish to YouTube and iTunes. It’s a vast project with lots of facets.

I’ve been using my new HTC Desire (Android 2.1) for a few weeks now, and thought I’d post about my favourite apps so far. I am breaking them down into 5 categories: Productivity, Networking, Mapping, Guitar, and Fun and Games.

When I moved back to Linux from Mac, I was a bit worried about finding replacements for two programs: Garageband and iMovie. While I don’t really need those applications, I do like to create media from time to time. I’ve found replacements for both. This is the workflow I am using for my guitar.

It took a bit to sort it out, but once you know how turning on and using Chinese input on Android 2.1 is very nice. Here is a quick movie showing how to install, enable, and use Chinese input using the HTC Desire (it should be the same for any Android 2.1 phone I would guess)
