Slightly disheartening but unsurprising news from the World Economic Forum via the BBC, the US is no longer the world’s center of technology innovation. The US is now ranked seventh.

It seems the top five spots were:

  1. Denmark
  2. Sweden
  3. Singapore
  4. Finland
  5. Switzerland

They are judging innovation on:

… technological advancements in general business, the infrastructure available and the extent to which government policy creates a framework necessary for economic development and increased competitiveness.

Surprisingly (at least to me), India and China, both on down ticks, came in 44th and 59th respectively.

It sure would be nice to get the US tech industry back to where it once was. I wonder where we went wrong (rolls eyes).

Hats off to Denmark.
